    Are you dismayed by political division in America and interested in being part of the solution?  Don’t despair.  Come learn about Braver Angels, the nation’s largest cross-partisan, volunteer-led organization dedicated to bridging the partisan divide and to depolarizing American politics.  Bringing together Americans from across the political spectrum, Braver Angels is teaching new ways to communicate, collaborate and engage in public life for the benefit of our communities and to strengthen our democratic republic. 

    The short film Crossing the Continental Divide:  The Braver Angels Approach to Depolarization in the United States will be shown, followed by discussion moderated by bipartisan representatives of Braver Angels.  Light refreshments will be served.

    Join Ann Elizabeth Byrne from Hudson Valley Meditation & Reiki for a workshop that will explore the Chakra System. Find out just what the Chakras are and how they affect our wellness. Follow this journey with hand out information for your reference as we discuss the major seven chakras and how these energy centers relate to various aspects of our lives. We will take a deep dive into each chakra and learn that each has a different color, element, physical and emotional representation. Ann will also share practical tips for keeping our Chakras aligned. Bring a mat/blanket as we conclude our time together with a guided meditation and immersive sound.

    Come and meet new friends and join in on a game that is played all over the world.  Mahjongg enthusiasts of all skill levels are invited to play every Tuesday from 10am to 1pm. The sessions are open-ended and participants can play as many or as few games as they wish.  Players with mahjongg sets are encouraged to bring them, as the Library has only a limited number to loan. This program is free, ongoing and open to players from all communities.
