What's Happening?

  • Albert Wisner Public Library Foundation College Scholarship Essay Competition

    • Since 2007, the Albert Wisner Public Library Foundation has sponsored college scholarships, awarded annually through an essay competition.  College-bound high school seniors who reside within the Library's service district - specifically, the Warwick Valley Central School District -- are welcome and invited to participate in the essay competition, whether or not they attend Warwick Valley High School.  Essays are welcome from college-bound home-schooled students. Three $2,500.00 scholarships are offered, sponsored by Library benefactors Glenn P. and Susan D. Dickes and one anonymous donor.

    • The essay topic for 2024 is:  Tell us about a book that has affected you deeply and explain why.  Essays are due by Friday, April 12, 2024 at 5pm.  Here are complete essay submission guidelines.  For more information, or if you have any questions, please call or email our Teen Advisor, Emily Wilson, at 845.986.1047, ext. 4 or email her at:  emwilson@rcls.org.

  • Teen Advisory Board

  • Make your opinion heard! What can the library do for you? What kinds of programs do you want to attend? How would you like to see the Young Adult section organized? What new Manga should we get? Help us to plan future events and gain some leadership skills. Attending gets you an hour of volunteering and a $10–credit each month for 3-D printing or photocopying.
