The first half of this workshop helps participants recognize how they characterize "others" among their like-minded friends, and helps participants gauge their own degree of polarization. After that self-assessment of one's own habits of stereotyping, the second half of the workshop uses vignettes to learn and practice relationship-building skills to listen, hear and disagree better. No participant will be asked to disclose their political party affiliation or leaning (if any). This is a non-partisan program led by representatives of Braver Angels. It is open to all who are interested in bridging the partisan divide. Light refreshments will be served.
