This parent workshop reviews causes for picky eating behaviors, reviews “bad” foods and the ingredients in them and how they negatively affect the body and brain. Learn about “good”foods and their positive effects on the body and brain, both with research studies for evidence.  Discover long-term steps to take to help a child who is a picky eater, as well as immediate steps to take to improve nutrition.

Comedy Night comes to the Albert Wisner Public Library ! Join us on September 30 at 7pm for an evening of laughter, as legendary stand-up comedians Will Durst and Johnny Steele take to the stage at the Library. The comedians are in the Hudson Valley for the screening at the Woodstock festival of 3 Still Standing a documentary about stand-up comedy in San Francisco in the 1980"s. The film features Robin Williams, Dana Carvey, Paula Poundstone and Rob Schneider as well as Durst and Steele.

Join Susan Slater-Tanner for an exploration and investigation into the enigmatic and ethereal painting, Woman in Gold, as well as the painter, Gustav Klimt. Examine the social and political context of 1907 Vienna, a brief history of the Klimt's training, artistic circle and connection to the sitter, the technique and materials that come together to create this remarkable shimmering portrait and conclude with a discussion surrounding the controversy of the painting's rightful ownership.

On a smartphone you can accomplish communication in a multitude of ways, and facilitate everything from GPS driving directions to sending photos you've just taken. A smartphone is a versatile computer.This workshop will explain one way in which developers design and sell applications - "Apps" for smartphones.

"Woman in Gold" Movie Screening

Join us for a screening of Woman In Gold, the remarkable true story of one woman's journey to reclaim her heritage and seek justice for what happened to her family. Sixty years after she fled Vienna during World War II, an elderly Jewish woman, Maria Altmann starts her journey to retrieve family possessions seized by the Nazis, among them Klimt's famous painting Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I. Together with her inexperienced but plucky young lawyer Randy Schoenberg, she embarks upon a major battle which takes them all the way to the heart of the Austrian establishment and the U.S.
