The library collaborates with the Friends of Hathorn to sponsor a free living history reenactment of 18th century agriculture outdoors on the lawn at the Gen. John Hathorn historic site, The Old Stone House Inn (21 Hathorn Rd.) for more details visit https://hathornhouse.wordpress.com/founders-day/. Reenactor educator Scott Lance will show tools and techniques, with other family friendly hands-on activities such as butter making, flour grinding, etc. No registration is necessary.
Join us for a new series about the nature of creativity as artist Judy Pedersen interviews Chef Ciarian McGoldrick who owns and operates Glenmere Farm in Florida, NY. Chef McGoldrick recently participated in and won the grand prize on Chopped, the lively and highly competitive cooking show created by The Food Network.

In Honor of Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month: The Farewell (2019) Comedy-drama written and directed by Lulu Wang, it stars Awkwafina, Tzi Ma, Diana Lin and Zhao Shuzhen. The film follows a Chinese American woman named Billi, who learns her grandmother, Nai Nai, has only a short while left to live. Billi's family has decided to schedule a family gathering before Nai Nai dies, and not tell Nai Nai of her fatal illness. Rated PG: 1 hour 40 minutes.
Come and meet new friends and join in on a game that is played all over the world. Mahjongg enthusiasts of all skill levels are invited to play every Tuesday from 10am to 1pm. The sessions are open-ended and participants can play as many or as few games as they wish. Players with mahjongg sets are encouraged to bring them, as the Library has only a limited number to loan. This program is free, ongoing and open to players from all communities.
