    The gently flowing movements of Qigong & Taijiquan, known more simply as Tai Chi, are ancient Chinese practices widely recognized for promoting many health benefits. These include improved balance, better posture, enhanced energy, and calmness of mind. In this series of 6 sessions, participants will learn standing meditation, simple qigong exercises, and some basic taijiquan postures.
    Classes will be conducted outdoors, weather permitting, and are limited to 30 participants. Registration is required for each individual session. Registration for all sessions is not required.

    Vampires are taking over the library! Come and be a designer or a model in our vampire edition of Project Runway. You'll design and make (or model) vampire couture made on the spot from everday supplies. We'll provide everything, even vampire fangs! Pizza and refreshments will be provided for all contestants.

    The String Trio of New York is an internationally-known chamber jazz group featuring James Emery on guitar, Rob Thomas on violin, and John Lindberg on bass. Since their founding in 1977, the trio has performed regularly at jazz festivals such as Ravinia and Newport, and has been featured on National Public Radio's Weekend Edition and on PRI's International Concerts.

    Join us for this educational program about the heritage and value of the Wawayanda Creek watershed, which is one the major drainage basins in the Town of Warwick.
    The presentation will include Simon Gruber, an environmental planner specializing in watershed planning and Barbar Restaino, a landscape architect whose work includes a focus on sustainability, and Dr. Richard Hull who will talk about how people have used the Creek and the surrounding landscape in the past and what this can teach us about a sustainable approach for future management of this watershed.

    Local author Donna Spector will launch her new book Candle of God with a discussion and a book signing.
    Candle of God tells the story of fourteen-year-old Danny who struggles with cystic fibrosis. But that's not his only challenge - he's also on a quest to find his biological father.
    Author Donna Spector is an award-winning playwright, novelist and poet, who's earned the Masters of Poetry Prize, the James Sunwall Comedy Playwriting Prize and a number of other writing awards. The Candle of God was nominated by an editor at Harper Collins for the Pushcart Editors Book Award.
