Let۪s travel the globe with reading! Explore literature from all the continents at our first annual Around the World with Reading Adult Summer Reading Challenge. Please register in person at the Reference Desk to pick up a passport and a hand-crafted gift. Read a fiction or non-fiction book from each continent (we will provide suggestions). When you۪ve completed a book, bring us your passport to be stamped and receive a raffle ticket for the Grand Prize Drawing. You may earn up to 8 raffle tickets (one for each geographic area in the passport).Adult Summer Reading Challenge: Registration begins June 27 at the Reference Desk. Challenge from July 4 September 4.Grand Prize: $50 Warwick Merchant۪s Guild Gift Certificate2 Runner Up Prizes: $25 Warwick Merchant۪s Guild Gift CertificateDrawing will be on Tuesday, September 6, 2016. What really happened at the Battle of Minisink? Local historian and author Peter Osborne will present an overview and new information recently researched about the battle, in which the Warwick area militia took part. The recently released book "So Many Brave Men" gives fresh details on one of the bloodiest battles of the Revolutionary War, in which many local men lost their lives.
