In December 2021** acclaimed film director Steven Spielberg will release his first musical, a remake of West Side Story.  In anticipation of the film’s opening, this lecture will discuss the creation, history and legacy of the original Broadway play, now more than 60 years old.

With all of the terrible events of the past 18 months, missing a birthday party normally would not be a big deal.   However, last December the world missed out on celebrating the 250th birthday of the great Ludwig Van Beethoven, born on December 16, 1770.  This milestone is significant enough that it needs to be observed, even if a little late.

The Friends of the Library welcome all to a used book sale on the Library grounds.  Rain date is Saturday, August 7.  Donations will be accepted beginning on Tuesday, July 27.  Please provide only donations that are in very good condition.  No encyclopedias, DVDs, video games, books on CD, magazines.  Kindly do not bring donations before July 27.
