Founders' Day 2024: Growing Toward Liberty

The library collaborates with the Friends of Hathorn to sponsor a free living history reenactment of 18th century agriculture outdoors on the lawn at the Gen. John Hathorn historic site, The Old Stone House Inn (21 Hathorn Rd.)  for more details visit https://hathornhouse.wordpress.com/founders-day/.  Reenactor educator Scott Lance will show tools and techniques, with other family friendly hands-on activities such as butter making, flour grinding, etc.  No registration is necessary.



      
      
  
  

Pioneer Travel on the OregonTrail

An exciting interactive play by Kit’s Interactive Theatre. Relive the spirit of covered wagon travel (buffalo stampedes and snakebites included!) before dancing by moonlight with pioneer Penny Pritchard. Performance combines history, dance, music, imagination, and improvisation with a great mixture of humor.

Come join Janet Baskerville for a relaxed afternoon creating this sparkly sun catcher pendant that can be worn around the neck, displayed in a bright window or given as a gift. Learn some basic wire wrapping techniques with minimal use of tools and you will have access to a large assortment of colorful glass beads.  All supplies and tools included. Space is limited.
