The Dig (2021) British drama based on John Preston’s 2007 novel, which reimagines the events of the 1939 excavation of Sutton Hoo in Suffolk, England [Note: Sue Brunning, the current curator at the British Museum,  has called Sutton Hoo "one of the most important archaeological discoveries of all time, certainly in British archeology but I would argue in the world."]; stars Carey Mulligan, Ralph Fiennes, Lily James, Johnny Flynn, Ben Chaplin, Ken Stott, Archie Barnes, and Monica Dolan.  Rated PG-13;  1 hour, 52 minutes.

Come and meet new friends and join in on a game that is played all over the world.  Mahjongg enthusiasts of all skill levels are invited to play every Tuesday from 10am to 1pm. The sessions are open-ended and participants can play as many or as few games as they wish.  Players with mahjongg sets are encouraged to bring them, as the Library has a limited number to loan. This program is free, ongoing and open to players from all communities.

Are you interested in practising your Spanish? Join Carlos Gonzalez, originally from Mexico City, for an hour of conversational Spanish where you will talk about various topics of interest such as history, education, etc. in a conversational setting. 

The Writer's Group meets every Wednesday, from 2 to 4pm in the Board Room. Bring in 6 copies of up to four pages, typed and double spaced, to be critiqued by fellow writers in a friendly, constructive manner. All forms of prose acceptable; no poetry please! This is a non-instructional program for adults; new members always welcome!
