Come and meet new friends and join in on a game that is played all over the world. Mahjong enthusiasts of all skill levels are invited to play every Tuesday from 10am to 1pm. The sessions are open-ended and participants can play as many or as few games as they wish. Players with mahjong sets are encouraged to bring them, as the Library has only a limited number to loan. This program is free, ongoing and open to players from all communities.

This is a two part project.
Session 1: This group project begins with printmaker's rollers and paint to make a background. Everyone will finish a section in their own way using mixed media.

The gently flowing movements of Qigong & Taijiquan, known more simply as Tai Chi, are ancient Chinese practices widely recognized for promoting many health benefits including better posture, enhanced energy, and calmness of mind. In this series of 6 serssions, participants will learn standing meditation, simple qigong exercises and some basic taijiquan postures.
