From the Black Dirt to the World: Solving the Problem of Prehistoric Extinctions
Late in the last Ice Age, giant beasts disappeared worldwide. Abundant mastodon and other large mammal fossil sites in the Black Dirt around Warwick have been helping us solve this mystery. Dr. Robinson specializes in the study of fossil plant pollen, and what this tells us about environmental changes which accompanied the end of the mastodons and other animals of the Pleistocene era.
Leopards & Petroglyphs with Sara Kearns and Dr. Richard Hull
Take a virtual trip to the Ingwe Leopard Research Program in the Mapumalanga district of South Africa. Sara Kearns, recently returned from volunteering at the center, will be your guide and Dr. Richard Hull will discuss the 30,000 year old petroglyphs found in the area.
