However, in the last decade, we've seen smartphones become a constant companion in our lives - adding internet connectivity to traditional phone calling. On a smartphone you can accomplish communication in a multitude of ways, and facilitate everything from GPS driving directions to sending photos you've just taken. A smartphone is a versatile computer.This workshop will explain one way in which developers design and sell applications - "Apps" for smartphones.

Sixty years after she fled Vienna during World War II, an elderly Jewish woman, Maria Altmann starts her journey to retrieve family possessions seized by the Nazis, among them Klimt's famous painting Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I. Together with her inexperienced but plucky young lawyer Randy Schoenberg, she embarks upon a major battle which takes them all the way to the heart of the Austrian establishment and the U.S.

Village of Warwick Historian Jean Beattie May will present a visual exploration of the life and times of New York railroad magnate Thomas Powell Fowler and his Warwick summer estate, Belair. Through personal memories and photos, May will explore the mansion and its landscape (part of which is now the Lewis Woodlands) as well as the lifestyle of Fowler and his family. Descended from Thomas and Mary Powell, whose record-breaking steamboats of the same name traversed the Hudson in the mid-1800"s, Thomas Powell Fowler was a prominent figure in New York. His sons were close friends of F.

In this celebrated work, his only novel, Wilde forged a devastating portrait of the effects of evil and debauchery on a young aesthete in late-19th-century England. Combining elements of the Gothic horror novel and decadent French fiction, the book centers on a striking premise: As Dorian Gray sinks into a life of crime and gross sensuality, his body retains perfect youth and vigor while his recently painted portrait grows day by day into a hideous record of evil, which he must keep hidden from the world.
