Using the concept of Time Travel, Dr. Jon Hunner, professor of History at New Mexico State University, will illustrate how historians, local history organizations and re-enactors use the sites and the stories of their local history to create engaging programs that bring the past to life. In addition to illustrating the activities of the various Time Travel events in Estonia, Finland, Italy, Latvia, South Africa, Sweden, Turkey, and the United States, Dr.

Turn an old book into a 3D art piece using folding techniques and your imagination. Supplies will be provided but particiapnts are encouraged to bring a glue gun if they have one. All participants are invited to exhibit their mobiles in a display at the Library.

Learn an easy method for transferring your favorite images for use on greeting cards or artwork. Please bring your own images to transfer. Only photocopies (black or white/color) or images clipped from newspapers and magazines work for this technique.

After the last of his five daughters finished college Arthur Baxter decided to realize a dream he first had as a kid growing up in Miami. He went to east Africa in September 2008, planning to visit Tanzania, go on safari, and attempt a climb to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro. It was an unforgettable adventure.
The presentation will include a personal narrative together with over 100 photos that will tell the story of a 50 mile trek climbing over 20,000 feet in 8 days to reach Kilimanjaro's summit.
