Job Club - Warwick Career Transition Group

The Albert Wisner Public Library will host the Warwick Career Transition Group, a job club started in 2010 to support people in their career transitions during a time of high un- and under-employment.
Join your peers and expand your network, discuss job search strategies, share stories and yes, even laughs. The group is led by Gregg Knowles, a program consultant and career coach.
The group also meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at Christ Church, located at 48 South Street in Warwick, NY.
The group is open to anyone, regardless of religious affiliation.

The Parting Glass: Musical Performance: A Tribute to the Irish Rebellion of 1916

The Parting Glass will perform an evening of song and music celebrating the Irish Rebellion of 1916. Copies of Morgan Llywelyn's historical novel, 1916, will be available at the Library for all those interested in reading about this pivotal point in Irish history.

"Children of the Land" Hawaiian Music, Storytelling, Puppetry and Hula

Join Tommy Tcheng and Kaina Quenga for an authentic Hawaiian cultural experience that will include puppetry, storytelling, ukulele, songs and maybe even some surfing!
This is an outdoor performance please bring a lawn chair. There is unlimited seating. In case of inclement weather the program will be held in the Community Room. Seating in the Community Room will be limited to the first 80 on the registration list.

Classical Indian Kuchipudi Dance Performance

Kuchipudi is a classical dance from southern India known for its graceful movements and strongnarrative character. Join us for an interactive workshop by a prominent danseuse, Sahana Natesan, who will demonstrate the techniques and gestures of this art form while performing a dance from the Kuchipudi repertoire.

Korean Lotus Flower Lantern Workshop

Members of The Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project will be on hand to help attendees make lovely traditional lotus flower lanterns using colorful paper and wire frames. All materials will be provided; participants may choose the color of their lotus flower. Traditional Korean refreshments will be served.
The Korean Spirit & Culture Promotion Project (KSCPP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of Korean history and culture. A short documentary film on Korean artistic traditions will be shown as an introduction to the aesthetics of Korea.
