This class is designed for beginning musicians and music fans who wish to understand the components of music and how these components work. The basics of chords and chord progression, melody and harmony will be discussed. Pace and direction is set, in part, by student background and interest. You do not need a knowledge of music - only a desire to learn!

Stone Age Warwick: Exhibit Opening & Archaeology Clinic

Exhibit Opening: "Stone Age Warwick" - Native American artifacts on display in the Wisner Room through February 2016. The exhibit features artifacts from several Warwick collections which provide evidence of occupation by more than a dozen distinct cultural groups from the Paleolithic (9,000 -12,000 years ago) to the Woodland period (1,000 years ago to European settlement).
Clinic: On Sunday, January 24, there will also be a "clinic" with archaeologists on hand to look at your finds and help identify them for you. Please register if you will be bringing artifacts for the clinic.

Warwick Children's Book Festival

Come meet over 50 prominent and beloved authors and illustrators of children's books and celebrate children's literacy. Authors and illustrators will gather on Railroad Avenue to autograph and inscribe their books (which will be available for purchase), chat with readers and share their love of the written word. Admission is free and open to the public.From 1:00-2:30 on Railroad Green, the beloved Uncle Brothers Band will perform a free children's concert. Feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chair!

Come celebrate Computer Science Education Week! For one hour, you'll practice your coding skills with stormtroopers, tauntauns, and puffer pigs. Great for all levels of experience! Build your skills step-by-step through a series of fun, easy tutorials or breeze through them to spend more time creating your very own Star Wars game.
Bring your own laptop, or borrow one of the Library's.
Pizza and refreshments will be served. Open to grades 6 and up.
