Come join the fun at our 2nd Annual Open Mic Night! Open to all teens! No audition necessary!
Audience members: Please register below!
Performers: Perform a song or two, recite some poetry, or show us your stand-up comedy routine! If you are interested in performing, please contact the Help Desk at 986-1047 ext. 3 by March 23rd to sign up for a spot. No auditions. Everyone is welcome to perform.

The String Trio of New York is an internationally-known chamber jazz group featuring James Emery on guitar, Rob Thomas on violin, and John Lindberg on bass. Since their founding in 1977, the trio has performed regularly at jazz festivals such as Ravinia and Newport, and has been featured on National Public Radio's Weekend Edition and on PRI's International Concerts.

Howard Horowitz is the author of Close to the Ground. His map poems, combining poetry and geology, have appeared in the New York Times and in literary journals. An open mic will follow the reading.

The Friends and Bookends bookshop at the Albert Wisner Public Library will be hosting a Holiday Book Sale on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 9-3PM. Choose from our collection of bestsellers, holiday books, children"s books, audiobooks, DVDs, CDs, library notecards and tote bags. Most books are $1 or less!

Come learn the fundamentals of drawing with local artist Rob Wright. Please feel free to bring a sample of your drawings! Materials will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own drawing pencils.
