Talk It Up! Book Club for K-2
Grades K-2. This week we will read about rocks in A Rock is Lively and If You Find a Rock. We will look at different rocks and experiment with rock crystals.
FOR THE NOVEMBER 5 ELECTIONS, THE LIBRARY IS THE POLLING PLACE FOR WARWICK ELECTION DISTRICTS 5 AND 21 ONLY. POLLS WILL BE OPEN 6AM-9PM. VOTING WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE COMMUNITY ROOM ON THE LOWER LEVEL.

Grades K-2. This week we will read about rocks in A Rock is Lively and If You Find a Rock. We will look at different rocks and experiment with rock crystals.
Grades K-2. During this session we will read Honey, Honey, Lion by Jan Brett. Together we will discuss the book and learn about the honey badger and other African animals.
Grades K-2. This week we will read Jack and the Beanstalk. We will read and discuss the book together. Participants will decorate a flower pot and plant bean seeds to grow a beanstalk of their own.
Grades K-2. This week we will read Diary of a Worm by Doreen Cronin. Together we will read and discuss the book and the pictures. We will make a worm craft and snack on some gummy worms.
For children who have completed grades 2-5. Create beads using paper and use them to make a necklace for yourself or to give to someone else.
For children who have completed grades 2-5. Learn the art of origami and make a few special paper crafts to take home.
For children who have completed grades 2-5. Test your building skills! We will build structures using pasta and marshmallows. Can you build a sturdy tower? How about a bridge that can hold an object. Have fun and put your engineering skills to the test.
