Monday Morning Book Discussion Group will discuss "Claude & Camille"
Come in out of the cold and enjoy some of the stories behind these wonderful paintings of the Warwick Valley and Orange County area in times past. Noted for his renderings of rural landscapes, lifestyles, and people, Robert Fletcher will discuss some of theworks currently on exhibit in the Community Room, and share a few previews of his upcoming book on the wonderful stories of the late Luther Barrett.
Read the book, see the film and join us for a discussion of the popular 2009 novel "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett.Set in JacksonMississippi in 1962, the book tells the story of women who cross boundaries as the civil rights movement explodes around them.The discussion will explore the book and its transition to film.
Copies of the book and the film are available at the Library. The film will be shown at the Library on Saturday, February 25 from 2 to 4:30pm. Registration required.
Join us for this showing of the film version of the popular 2009 novel "The Help," written by Kathryn Stockett. It tells the story of African American maids working in white households in Jackson, Mississippi during the early 1960s.
Participants are encouraged to read the novel, see the film and then join us on February 27 for a discussion of novel and its transition to film. Copies of the book are available at the Library.

Astrophysicist Kevin Manning, a former consultant with NASA, has always been passionate about astronomy, and wants to share the excitement with you! Over the 1_ - 2 hours, you"ll learn about the size and scale of the universe, the stars, and other celestial wonders using hands-on activities and assorted visuals. Following the presentation, a powerful telescope will be set up outdoors for viewing the craters on the Moon, the rings of Saturn and other beautiful objects in the night sky, weather permitting.
Join artist Joanne Kelly in the Community Room to discuss her work. Her art will be on display in the Community Room and Galleryduring the month of January.
Photographer Tom Naples will be in the Board Room to discuss his work.
