Learn about the impact of Alzheimer’s, the difference between Alzheimer’s & dementia, Alzheimer’s disease stages and risk factors, current research, FDA-approved treatments, and Alzheimer’s Association resources.

The workshop will address the concerns of high school juniors, seniors and their parents. It will focus on filling out the FAFSA and how the various types of aid, including grants, scholarships and the federal student aid work study program are used to finance an education.

This one-hour workshop includes a presentation and Q&A session, topics discussed include: repayment plans, forbearance, deferment, loan consolidation and forgiveness, and how to bring your loan out of default .

Join Dr. Hargis for a discussion of his recent book, "Healing the Human Machine" and a self-help hands on workshop.

Join us for our new "Millennial Book Group" at the Albert Wisner Public Library! Specifically for those in their 20s or 30s (older Gen Zs are welcome too!), we'll get together monthly to talk about books and shows and whatever else is going on!

For our first meeting, we will be reading Anxious People by Fredrik Backman. Books will be available to pick up at the circulation desk starting January 18th, or you can access the title on Libby or Overdrive.
