The Albert Wisner Public Library Foundation’s yearly scholarship competition is open! Any High School Senior who resides in the Warwick Valley Central School District and expects to graduate in 2023 is eligible to submit an essay of not more than 2000 words.

This year’s topic: Tell us about a book that has affected you deeply and explain why.

Essays due: April 17th by 5:00pm

Warwick native Danny Prial was a soldier, a West Point graduate, a New York National Guard pilot, a brother, a friend, an athlete, and a son. His life ended tragically in January 2021 in a helicopter crash during a military training exercise in upstate New York. The Fullest Measure: A Story of Courage, Loss, and a Mother’s Love by Anne Leavy-Prial is a unique telling of Danny’s life, his connections, his friendships, and his unbelievable legacy.
