Children struggling with special needs stemming from learning disabilities, ADD, and ADHD have challenges in school, at home and in the community.  For example, parents may observe that their child experiences homework as “torture,” self-esteem may be lower as their child feels “different” or “less than" siblings or peers, or their child’s frustration results in disruptive behaviors that need to be stopped.  Parents may be also frustrated when they feel they must badger school administrators for simple learning accommodations for their child.
