This workshop will cover the basics of drawing birds, stressing proportion and anatomy. We will work from photos to learn the essentials, with the aim of working from life. We will start from the very beginning, so the workshop is suitable for all experience levels. James Van Gelder has been drawing and painting from life and in the studio for over 40 years. He has been an avid outdoorsman his entire life, and his artistic pursuits have led to his passion for keeping a nature journal.
