Storytelling & Performance Class- Students will merge storytelling & performance and tell their own life story. Through prompts, activities and exercises they will create a performance piece that we will record for them. The goal is to encourage students to use their voice, gain confidence and be creative! No experience necessart, must attend all 3 sessions. Ages 9-12. Register online beginning Sept. 11 at 8:00am.

Hand Sewing for Beginners with Cindy Hopper

Seamstress Cindy Hopper of Sewcology will teach basic hand sewing stitches for clothing construction and repair (not embroidery), and help you work on the project of your choice.  Historical materials such as linen thread, linen, cotton and wool will also be covered.  Participants will provide their own needles, thread, scissors, and pre-cut material (following your chosen pattern/project).  The first two sessions will be working up a "sampler piece" of basic stitches.  For this, you will n

Brant's Indian Raiders: The Opposition at the Battle of Minisink

A talk by Frank Salvati, who has spent decades researching the Native American involvement in the Revolutionary War.  He gives accurate details about Joseph Brant of the British Army's Indian Department and his men.  These were the raiders that met local militia of Orange and other Counties in the Battle of Minisink on July 22, 1779--- resulting in a devastating amount of casualties on the American side.  Warwick's Col. John Hathorn was the American commander.
