Family Read Time - read the award-winning book "The Invention of Hugo Cabret" by Brian Selznick. This program is for children in Grades 3-5 with an adult. Read the book together at home and come to the Library on Weds. evening Nov. 6 at 6:45 for a discussion about the story and its characters. Return on Friday, Nov. 8 at 6:00pm to watch the movie and have some pizza. Is it true that the book is always better than the movie?
You must attend both parts of this program.
This delightful novel explores the setting and people that came together to inspire Renoir's great masterpiece. The program will combine a slide show lecture with a book discussion.

Join us to learn about the countless treasures of the Renaissance and Baroque periods; the artists Michelangelo, Raphael, Caravaggio and Bernini; the architectural wonders of the Colosseum and the Forum; the stunning artifacts left behind in Pompeii and Herculaneum after the explosion of Mt. Vesuvius.
Many of us studied Spanish in high school, but few have taken the leap to begin speaking it. These classes will give you the practice and confidence to take that step. This program is comprised of six classes (November 6, 13, and 20, December 4 and 11); attendance at all sessions is encouraged.
