Come meet over 50 prominent and beloved authors and illustrators of children's books and celebrate children's literacy. Authors and illustrators will gather on Railroad Avenue to autograph and inscribe their books (which will be available for purchase), chat with readers and share their love of the written word. Admission is free and open to the public.From 1:00-2:30 on Railroad Green, the beloved Uncle Brothers Band will perform a free children's concert. Feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chair! (There is no seating and the concert space is open-air.) There will also be free craft activities for children. All are welcome.Railroad Green is surrounded by family-friendly restaurants and cafes, and is close to a park with a playground. Shopping opportunities abound on Railroad Avenue and adjacent Main Street; Warwick's multiple apple orchards and farm markets are within a short drive of Railroad Avenue.Note: in the event of rain, the Festival will be held indoors at Park Avenue School - 10 Park Avenue, Warwick (same hours - 11:00am-4:00pm). The concert will still be held at 1:00pm.The Warwick Children's Book Festival raises funds to support the programs and services of Albert Wisner Public Library.
