In Honor of Black History Month:  Marshall (2017) Legal drama stars Chadwick Boseman, Josh Gad and Kate Hudson - the story of Thurgood Marshall, the crusading lawyer who would become the first African-American Supreme Court Justice, as he battles through one of his career-defining cases. Local historian Sue Gardner coordinates an informal sharing of some historic local Black family heritage and lore. Attendees are encourage to share their own family's history and treasured stories of ancestors, "show and tell" family photos and heirloom items are also welcome.

Taylor Hackford’s bio pic based on the life and career of the legendary rhythm and blues musician Ray Charles, from his humble beginnings in the South, where he went blind at age seven, to his meteoric rise to stardom during the 1950’s and 1960’s.
