Featuring Ann Carter-Cox (singer and harpist) and Penny McCulloch (harpist)
Ann Carter-Cox presents a program of original compositions and arrangements, including settings of poems by A.E. Housman, Eugene Field, Emily Pauline Johnson, and 17th-century English poets. The concert also features traditional songs from England and the Southern Appalachian Mountains.
Praised by The New York Times for her storytelling through song, Ann is a seasoned performer with degrees from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and Sarah Lawrence College. Her career spans concerts across the eastern U.S., choral conducting, and recent work as a composer for harp and voice.
She is joined by Penny McCulloch, a well-known New Jersey harpist with over 40 years of performance experience. Penny has played extensively at events and venues across the region and studied under several notable harpists.
Together, they offer a compelling evening of music, poetry, and storytelling.
