Join Poet Laurie Byro to discuss selected poems of Ted Hughes, husband of Sylvia Plath and Poet Laureate of the UK from 1984 to 1998.  The circle will discuss the following:  The Thought Fox, Snowdrop, Esther’s Tomcat, Night Ride on Ariel, and King of Carrion.  Hard copies of the these poems are available to pick up at the Help Desk, or you can print them yourself from this pdf.

Participants are encouraged to choose a favorite Poet Laureate of their own as their "summer traveling companion" and to bring a poem to share.  Another option is to read the book Birthday Letters by Ted Hughes (multiple copies are available in the Library system for checkout).  Note:  this program will meet outdoors in the Reading Garden on the McFarland Drive side of the library building.
