Throughout history, African American women have tapped hidden sources of strength and inspiration to conquer impossible odds. They have persevered through dangerous times. They have nurtured families, loved knowledge, and pursued dreams as various and different as the women who dreamed them.
A monthly informal hand sewing circle lead by Cindy Hopper of Sewcology. Bring your own projects/materials to work on. Attendees can learn hand-sewing techniques and stitches for clothing construction and repair (not embroidery). Some attendees will work on late 18th century re-enactment clothing and gear, but all those interested in the art and "zen" of sewing by hand are welcome.

Most of us can name at least a few birds that migrate during the spring, but did you know there are many other migratory wildlife in the Hudson Valley? Learn about local insects, amphibians, reptiles, fish and mammals that experience seasonal migration. You may be surprised!
Teen Craft: Decorate a mug with oil-based sharpie markers in whatever design you want! Then just go home and bake it in the oven to set the design.
