A ceili ("kay-lee") is a traditional Irish gathering for fun, fellowship, and laughs (or "craic," as the Irish might say.) Traditional ceili dances were enjoyed at house parties and corner road gatherings in the rural countrysides and are still danced in Ireland. The bonfire, haymaker's jig, Siege of Ennis, fairy reel and other dances are very easy to learn. These traditional country folk dances have a follow-the-leader pattern that new dancers can learn on their first attempt -- so come and join us for an evening of fun!
In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Easter Rebellion in Dublin, the Hooley Shooters will perform a variety of Irish music including rebellion songs from the early 20th century. Join us for a fun-filled and lively evening of music!
