The Joys of Hiking - Learn How to Get Started in Hiking from the Experts

Peter Reiner and Aaron Schoenberg, members of the Adirondack Mountain Club, are both avid hikers of the ADK North Jersey Ramapo Chapter. "The Joys of Hiking" will discuss how to get started in hiking as well as information on the numerous trails located in the lower Hudson Valley and northern New Jersey areas. They will also describe the hiking trails in Sterling Forest, Harriman Park, Bear Mountain Park and Black Rock Forest. Various equipment - back packs, hiking boots, hiking poles, maps, outdoor clothing - will also be discussed. A question-and-answer session will follow.

Open to adults and attentive younger viewers; registration is required.This 2010 documentary from Taggart Siegel, director of The Real Dirt on Farmer John, is a profound alternative examination of the global bee crisis.
