What does it really take to live eco-effectively? For one year, Colin Beavan swore off plastic and toxins, turned off his electricity, went organic, became a bicycle nut, and tried to save the planet from environmental catastrophe while dragging his young daughter and his Prada-wearing wife along for the ride. Together, they attempted to make zero impact on the environment while living right in the heart of Manhattan. This is the sensational, funny, and consciousness-raising story of how they did it.
BYOBag Warwick will present the short version (45 minutes) of BAGit, an upbeat documentary about our plastic problem, meant for families with children ages 10 and up. Prior to the movie, prizes will be awarded to the winners of the BYOBag Poster Contest, with recognition of all participants and a special exhibit of their posters.

Everyone remembers Warwick CommonPlace as the place to exchange ideas, trade information and browse Warwick events. It was a site open only to Town of Warwick residents and businesses, and served as a meeting place, goods-exchange and source of information about our schools, municipal activities and events.
This summer's series of Tai Chi classes concludes with a presentation on the art of Chinese calligraphy. Local artist Ron Gee will reveal the ancient origins of the Chinese writing system, demonstrate the close connection between calligraphy and ink painting, and discuss the philosophical underpinnings shared by traditional Chinese art forms, including Tai Chi. Attendance at a previous Tai Chi class not a prerequisite.
