Hans Niederstrasser of the Friends of Long Pond Ironworks (Hewitt, NJ) will present his search for information about Peter Hasenclever, the German businessman who began operating the iron works at Long Pond in 1764. Niederstrasser and the late C. J. Prol spent fourteen years translating Hasenclever's German-language biography and travelling to Europe and South America to find rare documents.

Warwick Children's Book Festival @ Warwick Valley Middle School Gymnasium
Come one, come all to the Warwick Children's Book Festival! Find the festival at the Warwick Valley Middle School gymnasium, located at 225 West Street. The festival will feature nearly 70 distinguished authors and illustrators of books for children, who will be on hand to meet families, talk with readers, and sign their books, which will be available for purchase. The Uncle Brothers will perform a free children's concert beginning at noon. Food trucks and a children's craft activity will round out the fun.
