Join us for this fascinating story of art conservation. Tina Kane will present a discussion with slides of the landmark medieval tapestry conservation project she managed for the Metropolitan Museum. In 1973, the curators of the Cloisters began the restoration of a 16th century Redemption Tapestry. The restoration was completed in 2009. The tapestry now hangs in the Cloisters.

Adults and teens are invited to create a paper crafted book with Deborah Kittay-Hefler. If you wish, you may bring small items (no larger than 4" x 6") with which to decorate and personalize the album, but this is not necessary. Click here to see an example of what you will make!

In observance of Christmas, the Library will be closed on Christmas Eve (December 24) and Christmas Day (December 25). The Library will reopen at 12:00 noon on Sunday, December 26.
November 15 to December 31 is the Annual Enrollment Period for Medicare. This is the time of year when individuals can change their Medicare healthcare coverage or prescription drug coverage for 2011. Medicare 101 will review the basics of Medicare and focus on getting coverage either directly through Original Medicare, with gap insurance, or by choosing Medicare Advantage.
