Every family living in Warwick today migrated from somewhere else. Some came here long ago, some came very recently. Enjoy a panel discussion and sharing of where we all came from to find our home in the Warwick Valley.
Dream your perfect Village of Warwick as if you had complete freedom of design and the resources to create it. Then create a paper collage "flag" symbolizing your vision, with an explanatory paragraph, for exhibit at the Library to celebrate the Village Sesquicentennial. Collage materials will be provided, or you may bring your own.
The Board of Trustees will meet for their annual reorganization meeting. The public is welcome.
Let۪s travel the globe with reading! Explore literature from all the continents at our first annual Around the World with Reading Adult Summer Reading Challenge. Please register in person at the Reference Desk to pick up a passport and a hand-crafted gift. Read a fiction or non-fiction book from each continent (we will provide suggestions). When you۪ve completed a book, bring us your passport to be stamped and receive a raffle ticket for the Grand Prize Drawing.
Meet artist Alma Larkin. Her exhibit of original paintings, My Offerings, is currently on display in the Library Board Board through the month of July.
A nurse by profession, Alma retired from St. Anthony's Community Hospital after 30 years of dedicated work. After retirement she pursued her passion to paint. She joined local art leagues in Middletown and Warwick where shares her enthusiasm for painting with fellow artists. Her favorite medium is oil although she does paint in pastel and watercolor too.
Members from the WVMS 8th grade orchestra and band will perform fun music for kids. Register beginning Sept. 10 online or at the children's or help desk.
