Have you ever wondered what it feels like to step into the spotlight—whether on stage or in front of a camera? Or maybe you’d like to feel more at ease using your voice and body, build confidence in front of others, and sharpen your public speaking skills. No prior experience is needed—this course is the perfect introduction to acting.
Through a series of progressive exercises, students will explore character development, emotional expression, scene and monologue analysis, and the basics of improvisation. These activities are designed to spark spontaneity, encourage natural performance, and deepen understanding of the actor’s craft.
This fun, supportive workshop is a chance to tap into your creativity, boost self-confidence, and perhaps even take your first step toward community theater! The course includes 6 weekly classes (2 hours each). Students will work in pairs on a scene from a play or film, assigned by the instructor. In the final class, students may invite guests to enjoy their scene performances.
