Join Tchin for an engaging journey through the traditional stories—what he calls “lessons”—of Turtle Island. These tales explore how things came to be, our deep connections to one another, and the importance of respecting the earth and all living beings. Interwoven with his storytelling, Tchin plays rare Indigenous flutes, some of which have not been heard for generations. A meaningful and memorable experience for all ages.

“Turtle Island” is a name used by some Indigenous peoples in North America to refer to the landmass of the continent, stemming from various creation stories.  These stories often depict the Earth as being form on the back of a giant turtle. The specific details of the stories vary among different Indigenous nations, but they generally involve a great flood or watery expanse, with a turtle providing the foundation for the land to grow.
