Biographical Information:  Amanda Marrone grew up on Long Island where she spent her time reading, drawing, watching insects, and suffering from an overactive imagination. She earned a B.A. in education at SUNY Cortland and taught fifth and sixth grade in New Hampshire. She now lives in Connecticut with her husband, children and two dogs. Her new three book Magic Repair Shop series for 8-12 year olds is out, as well as her latest book for teens, Slayed, about a reluctant vampire hunter being blackmailed by a washed-up child star to show her the ins and outs of killing vampires.
