Name: Jerry Sander
Biographical Information: Jerry Sander has lived in the Hudson Valley for the past 24 years. He is a graduate of Oberlin College and of New York University. A married father of four, he is also a Certified Social Worker who divides his time between work in a suburban public school district and a private therapy practice. He continues to believe in the calming influence of guinea pigs and in the spiritual superiority of most dogs.
Featured Book: Unlimited Calling (Certain Restrictions Apply) 10th grader Amy Verdino has to adjust to her parents’ divorce, fickle friends, a changing body, and — to her everlasting horror — the supposed importance of math class taught by the geekiest teacher in North America. What happens in the spring of her sophomore year surprises everyone, as self-absorption is punctured in an unexpected way.
