AWPL Classic Monday: Two for the Road (1967): Stanley Donen’s witty, honest look at relationships stars Audrey Hepburn and Albert Finney as Joanna and Mark Wallace, a couple whose ten-year marriage is on the rocks. Told through flashbacks of previous road trips through France, they recall their first meeting, their courtship, early wedded life and subsequent infidelities; a clever snapshot of sixties European style (Hepburn’s fabulous wardrobe and those snazzy cars) along with snappy, often acerbic, dialogue and a terrific score by Henry Mancini. Not Rated: I hour 51 minutes.
