Tallie currently serves as Assistant Corporation Counsel of the City of Newburgh after over 10 years as principal at Tallie Carter Law, P.C. and founder of IDARE Enterprises, Inc.  She provides executive counsel to a diverse group of clients, including professionals, nonprofits, religious organizations and entrepreneurial businesses in the creative economy. Her practice focuses on legal issues related to project and business development and governance across several disciplines. Tallie is admitted to practice law in New York. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association and serves as 1st Vice President of the New York Council on Nonprofits and Jonah Bokaer Arts Foundation.

In Honor of Women’s History Month:  Julia (1977) Fred Zinnemann’s period drama stars Jane Fonda, Vanessa Redgrave, Jason Robards, Hal Holbrook, Rosemary Murphy, Maximilian Schell, and Meryl Streep in her film debut; based on a chapter from Lillian Hellman's 1973 book Pentimento about the author's relationship with a lifelong friend, Julia, who fought against the Nazis in the years prior to World War II.  Rate PG: 1 hour 57 minutes.

Come and meet new friends and join in on a game that is played all over the world.  Mahjong enthusiasts of all skill levels are invited to play every Tuesday from 10am to 1pm. The sessions are open-ended and participants can play as many or as few games as they wish.  Players with mahjong sets are encouraged to bring them, as the Library has only a limited number to loan. This program is free, ongoing and open to players from all communities.

This class builds on the principles learned in Conversational Italian I. You must have attended Conversational Italian I or have knowledge of the Italian language for this class. Attendance at all sessions are storngly encouraged.
