    Family relationships are becoming casualties of our toxic political environment. Family members are having nasty political arguments, avoiding each other, or even cutting off lifetime relationships. If you want to preserve important family bonds while still being true to your values and political beliefs, this workshop is for you!  Participants will:

     

    • Have a deeper understanding of why family differences over politics are uniquely challenging.
    • Gain insight into the common roles that family members play in political conversations.
    • Understand strategies for dealing with family political differences in a constructive way.
    • Practice useful skills for communicating with family members holding different political views.

    Soprano Julie Ziavras, accompanied by pianist and bouzouki master, Petros Hadjopoulos and Kostas Psarros, presents a mesmerizing collection of classic Greek songs, from plaintive ballads to lively rembetika blues. With a captivating voice, Julie transports audiences to the heart of Greece, sharing the depth and beauty of each song. Praised for her emotive performances, Julie has graced prestigious stages worldwide, blending her classical training with a passion for Greek music. Kostas Psarros, born into a musical family in Athens, is a renowned bouzouki virtuoso, while Petros Hadjopoulos, a multifaceted musician and conductor, brings rich experience to the ensemble. Together, they craft a sonic journey through Greek musical history.

    Dial M for Murder (1954) Alfred Hitchcock’s Masterpiece of mystery and melodrama, based on Frederick Knott’s 1952 play stars Ray Milland, Grace Kelly, Robert Cummings, Anthony Dawson and John Williams. Tony Wendice (Milland), a tennis star finds out about his wife Margot’s (Kelly) affair with an American novelist (Cummings). Tony then elaborately plots Margot’s murder by hiring a killer. When the attempted murder goes wrong, he twists the story to incriminate her. Rated PG: 1 hour 45 minutes.
