Bring your knitting, crochet, embroidery, needlepoint, cross stitch, punch needling, applique, sewing and all of your fiber arts projects and join us for a non-instructional night of stitching but no b*@%$ing.  Group meets on the main level in the poetry corner.  No registration; drop-in anytime.

Children are invited to get creative and make art using our supplies. This is a good place to start your project for our Spring Art Show.

Ages 5 - 12

Over the past five decades, notable transformations have been witnessed in and around Yellowstone National Park through numerous visits, spanning my roles as a tree planter, forestry scientist, and field guide. This presentation features maps and vibrant slides illustrating these changes.

The community forest initiative aims to safeguard this cherished piece of land in Warwick, renowned for its unique terrain, minerals, diverse flora and fauna, and breathtaking scenery. Spanning 136 acres, this mostly wooded parcel encompasses the iconic "Gibraltar Rock," a prominent formation towering 200 feet above lush vernal pools teeming with rare plant species and amphibians. Notably, the area boasts scarce minerals like Warwickite and Edenite, named after nearby towns. For centuries, the flat expanse atop Gibraltar Rock has served as a natural gathering spot, frequented by the Lenape Nation and later utilized for various community events, from church picnics to spontaneous hikes. Join us for a discussion of this unique area with Barbara Felton.

Judy Sangara returns for five weeks of gentle chair yoga sutable for all levels and ages. 

The grocery store produce aisles are full of things that will grow into plants given the right conditions.  Many of us have accidentally started growing potatoes or purposely sprouted an avocado pit, but that is just the beginning.  From pineapples and celery to ginger and sweet potatoes, come and learn about the myriad of plants you can grow from things found in the grocery store!

Mary Pobedinsky is a recent graduate of the Master Gardener program and comes with a lifetime of gardening experience. Her love of plants started as a toddler in the lush rose gardens of her great-aunts and has never stopped! Mary has worked in education, technology, BOCES career academy and is excited to share her knowledge with you.

Warwick Valley Plant Native Alliance will host a Plant Natives Fair on April 6 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Community Room. The fair is free and open to native plant enthusiasts of all skill levels. There will be presentations, other volunteer organizations, and more.

In preparation for the eclipse on Mon. 4/8, come learn about total solar eclipses then make a model of a solar eclipse and some solar eclipse art.

Ages 5-11

In honor of the Solar Eclipse happening on 4/8/24, make and enjoy pancakes inspired by the phases of the moon! We'll also learn about what to expect from the upcoming eclipse.
