Come and meet new friends and join in on a game that is played all over the world.  Mahjongg enthusiasts of all skill levels are invited to play every Tuesday from 10am to 1pm. The sessions are open-ended and participants can play as many or as few games as they wish.  Players with mahjongg sets are encouraged to bring them, as the Library has only a limited number to loan. This program is free, ongoing and open to players from all communities.

Utilizing the educational videos provided by Project Drawdown, learn about our climate challenges and find solutions to this most important world problem. Project Drawdown's mission is "to help the world reach “drawdown”—the point in the future when levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere stop climbing and start to steadily decline".  Please watch videos #1-5 prior to this event; we'll watch Video #6 together then discuss the series and review ways to take action. The discussion will be moderated by members of Sustainable Warwick.

The ancient Chinese arts of Qigong and Taijiquan, known more simply as Tai Chi, are practiced world-wide to promote good health and wellness.  Through gentle, flowing movements balance and posture are improved, energy enhanced, and stress-levels reduced,  resulting a calmer mental state. Participants will learn standing meditation, simple qigong exercises, and a few of the basic taijiquan postures.

Local resident Ron Gee, who is also an artist, studied with Master Jou Tsung Hwa, founder of the legendary Tai Chi Farm in Warwick and Qigong master B.P. Chan.
