Help us get ready for the upcoming Warwick Children's Book Festival! Welcome our authors by helping to make gift bags full of homemade goodies. Help plan a craft for the children's tent too. This year, we have over 60 visiting authors so we'll need all the help we can get. There is no commitment to come every week, however you must register for each week you are attending so we make sure we have the room to social distance. We will cancel any week it rains, This year, we'll be making rock photo/nametag holders and book cover magnets! Earn 2 hours of volunteer credit for each session you attend!!

Parent/Child Craft Night-Outside   This is the last of our craft nights for Grades K-4 (completed). The craft for Thurs. Aug. 5 is Sun Catchers, make some for you and your friends! Register online beginning June 19. Please wear a mask.

Take & Make- Clip-on - Make a summer flip-flop clip-on for your backpack. Register online beginning June 19 to resereve your bag of craft supplies. Suggested ages 4-8. Bag pick-up Aug. 6.

Bingo Bingo! Outside :  There was a farmer had a dog..... Come play picture bingo on the patio. Easy and fun for the little ones. Win a prize.

Use colored sand to "paint" a mandala.

Working from photos and other references, we will complete a portrait of a bird.  Presenter Jim Van Gelder will do a brief demonstration and then participants will work in pencil or watercolor.  Materials will be supplied, but participants are welcome to bring their own if they choose.  All skill levels welcome.

Program will be held in-person, outdoors on the River Birch patio.

Jim Van Gelder is an artist and naturalist living in Warwick.  He has been drawing and painting as long as he can remember.  He has studied with the Art Student's League, and has attended classes and workshops with numerous artists.  Jim is currently working with the Orange County Audubon Society leading field trips and making presentations.
