SUMMARY:The Sound of Independence: Music from Jefferson's Monticello with
 the Kemyndable Trio
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening concert inspired by the sheet music that
Thomas Jefferson collected for his library at Monticello\, paired with an
engaging exploration of how his musical tastes reveal his personality and
the intellectual spirit of his era.  Often seen as a defining expression
of The Enlightenment\, the Declaration of Independence reflects ideals al
so found in classical music. What connections emerge when we listen to the
music Jefferson chose to surround himself with?\nThe Kemyndable Flute Tri
o — Amy Klein\, Deborah Proulx\, and Kenneth Korn — has performed toge
ther for more than a decade\, both as a chamber ensemble and with regional
groups. They have appeared at numerous community venues and charitable ev
ents\, and remain dedicated to sharing music locally while supporting civi
c organizations and fostering a love of the arts.
