DESCRIPTION:Karl Latham’s Living Standards is the result of his ever-evol
 ving creative vision—bringing together top-tier musicianship with a soun
 d that connects with a broad audience. The group blends dynamic improvisat
 ion and adventurous rhythms with classic hits from the 1960s and 70s\, rei
 magining them through a jazz lens. It’s high-level artistry with wide ap

 lenn P. and Susan D. Dickes.\nKarl Latham: is an acclaimed drummer known f
 or his work with Rock and Roll Hall of Famers and Grammy-winning artists. 
 He has performed with The Shirelles (Music Director)\, Johnny Winter\, Edg
 ar Winter\, Bernie Worrell\, Rachel Z\, Mark Egan\, and The Dizzy Gillespi
 e Alumni All-Stars. Internationally\, he has toured for decades with Wolfg
 ang Lackerschmid and Johannes Mossinger. A Broadway veteran\, Karl has sub
 bed on Hamilton\, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical\, Ain’t Too Proud\,
  and more. He co-leads the jazz/funk group Big Fun(K) and teaches at Drew 
 University\, County College of Morris\, and RVCC. He also serves on the Pe
 rcussive Arts Society Education Committee.\nMitch Stein: Guitarist Mitch S
 tein has shared the stage with legends such as Tania Maria\, David Sanborn
 \, The Brecker Brothers\, Bill Evans\, Randy Brecker\, and Adam Holzman. K
 nown for his versatile style\, Stein brings deep groove and improvisationa
 l fire to every performance.\nCalvin X Jones: Bassist Calvin X Jones has p
 erformed with an impressive list of jazz greats\, including Patti Austin\,
  Don Braden\, Tom Browne\, Donald Byrd\, Pharoah Sanders\, and Max Roach. 
 His Broadway credits include Bring 'N Da Noise\, Bring 'N Da Funk\, Ain’
 t Nothin’ But The Blues\, and The Janis Joplin Show. Jones is known for 
 his powerful presence and deep musicality.
