•Two official land routes went between Boston and Philadelphia
	•The largest went on either side of the Hudson and down to New York City.
	•The secondary route went through Goshen and Warwick, one of “The Kings Highways”.
	•Growth in the colonies was causing problems as well as opportunities.  The French and Indian War has left a debt that the English government wanted paid.  English industries wanted to maintain control over this growing market, as well.
